Good bye melbourne :(

It been a while since I last blogged; simply just tired, lazy, whatever. Yeap as I type this post, I have just sent Hui & Kuah an email telling them, I have officially rejected the Melbourne Uni offer.

Im really trying to be optimistic here. There may just be a couple of reasons why I should stay here.

1) Grandpa- He' getting old, he's already 82. At least it would be nice to be at his side during his golden years, incidentally as old as Geezer old lee, who sporadically comes out and babble nonsense from time to time.

2) Finances- We are talking about a cool S$80k max on a degree which might not secure me a dream job. Melbourne Uni I guess is just Melbourne Uni; its not fair to lump her together with the Ivys.

3) Divinity - Being typical taoists, my mom asked for divine opinion everywhere. All were coincidentally against the idea. Sometimes i guess its better not to go against the odds. Apparently, Ill excel better if I continued studying distance learning here, then go overseas. (Sounds ludicrous; maybe)

4) Practically infeasible- Im due to graduate end of this year. I guess it really makes no sense to spend another 1.5 years there. If all goes well, Im looking at a near impeccable transcript locally, which theoretically puts me in good stead in finding a nice, comfy paying job, I hope.

5) A girl named yen - If I really do go, then I really wouldnt have a chance to date her. It'll probably be shitty if I really fell for her before I left. I honestly think she's quite cute and likeable.

I certainly felt better after typing all these, I hope.

Perhaps if there's a need to undergo postgrad, I guess I wouldnt have qualms applying for melbourne uni again.
