A political entry
This is a funny article, especially with this heading, *Flamed for being pro gov*.Dare to lash out but dont dare to accept criticisms. Its analogous to walking into a lion's den and cry wolf. What a slut!
The thing about tabloids like TNP, they enjoy publishing lurid reports but unlike the rest, it is controlled media. They really did paint a good job by giving the impression she was the real victim here, when if you read both side of the stories, courtesy of sammyboymod, she aint no angel.
27, Single and unemployed. I wonder how she spends her time? Ha. Even John Terry is saying thumps up! haha.
Pity I'm not a forumner of Chilicrap, if not she would have got nice one from me up her arse. Does it take rocket science to wonderwhy so many anti g*v crowds are forming? People are getting silenced in real life hence turning to alternatives like internet to express their displeasure.
During secondary one, I remembered my teacher telling us to read Straits Times, as it is a good read. Fast forward 10 years later, I'll tell her she's wrong now. In local context, it's the most rubbish paper ever. A a non discursive sweeping statement i have made, but reasonings fed to me does not make sense to me. With substantial evidence(that is withheld/destroyed), the bigger can of worms will change the entire political landscape.
Historian Lord Acton (1834-1902) issued epic warnings that political power is the most serious threat to liberty. He said this interesting piece, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men."
P@P is in rule for 41 years since independence, interestingly notable is, it is the only party in the world that has ruled the longest in a democracy society. Obviously, im not advocating a 'monkey see monkey do' but it does get suspiciously worrying especially when that saying holds much truth.
People young, old and alike assert LKY, Sg's founding father is a great man. That is irrefutable but the crux of the question is, "was he on the good or the bad side?" Mirroring lord acton's wise saying, would it make sense for any man at a grand age of 83(correct me, im not sure) dabble in politics actively? What makes it disturbing, is what he says preceeds what the ruling PM would echo later on. While assert is too far a strong verb to be used, one could infer that he still welds considerable power, while being alluded by some as the 'puppeteer' behind the scenes even in today, 2006.
When the baton is passed on Lee's elder son, famously known as the 'dragon prince'. Its hard not to wonder was it a decision based on credentials or nepotism. Alarmingly, relation to the Lee family hold prominent posts across all g*v boards. This leads to a hypothesis, "are we served by people for us truely or for vested personal interests?"
Then at this year's NDP rally, you hear news of influx of foreigners to make Sg more competitive. Whether they truely are talents is a moot question in Singapore's context. It is generally unanimously agreed among the localfolk on the Internet that they are generally second class/rejected talents from their homelands. Funnily these talents are actually taking jobs that the local people can do. But then, amnesia must have hit me. Employers need not contribute to CPF, and no reservist hence are preferred.
Smiling for 4000+ IMF delegates takes the cake. Our country is made to prostitute ourselves for foreigners to be our citizens, and that we have to 'sa kar' to foreigners to make their stay a welcoming one.
Such campaigns does make you ask yourself what a brain was for. Courtesy and social graces stem from family values and not from an order.
Sometimes, you dont feel Singaporean. I think the Singaporean identity is getting diluted, its only a matter of time, that one day that identity will be lost under the capable hands of our incumbents.
With that saying, PM Lee, where can I find mee siam mai hum ah?

Edited Mr Brown's podcast is now my kick ass ringtone!
Watford Striker: "We'll test United."
I say, "Son, dont bother, you better play D because your D will be hammered throughout 90mins today."
